Position Summary:
The Configuration Specialist is a full-time, exempt position with the main responsibility of configuring VIAM for use by clients. Configuration includes analyzing and documenting client application requirements, implementing workflow processes, configuration of software, creation of forms and support.
Primary Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Configure VIAM software for all client implementations.
- Work with Project Management to understand the scope of client implementations and assist with implementation planning.
- Update and document to release log of all changes to client configuration
- Work with product development during scheduled releases of new software and configure all new functionality.
- Assist as needed in training clients on their implementation.
- Assist the Software Help Desk in trouble shooting client problems.
- Develop configuration documentation for applications and processes.
- Participate in departmental and general staff meetings.
- Keep confidential all applicant, client, and Verifications, Inc. proprietary information.
- Provide input for improvements in software and product functionality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Computer Science, Computer & Information Science, or Management Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
- Basic knowledge and experience with HTML, XML, CSS.
- XSLT knowledge preferred but not required.
- Ability to work with known browser limitations.
- Self-motivated; independent worker.
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
- Organized with strong attention to detail.
