POSITION: DIRECTOR OF SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE

Position Summary:

This is a full-time (exempt) position. Candidate will develop and implement testing strategies, policy and procedures and provide test planning, ensure consistent statistics and metrics, manage test execution, introduce functional and performance automation, and provide leadership to SQA Team and Engineers. Additionally, the Director is responsible for coordinating testing efforts with the IT management team to ensure that all application development deliverables are met and quality products are delivered to meet our clients' expectations. You will work with a variety of groups across multiple disciplines to streamline, integrate, and continuously improve the effectiveness of the SQA organization. As a Director, you will be responsible for employee development, performance planning and reviews, counseling and evaluations.

This role requires little or no travel.

  • Responsible for providing technical leadership and management of Software Quality Assurance projects, teams and efforts
  • Responsible for QA technical and functional activities
  • Ability to drive and refine Software Quality Assurance best practices
  • Responsible for production release readiness for appropriate application test area
  • Ability to work with Senior Level management
  • Ability to interface with internal and external customers on pre-production release testing requirements and efforts
  • Ability to provide tactical technical vision for Software Quality Assurance best practices
  • Provides inputs for production release readiness on major product releases
  • Ability to mentor and coach Software Quality Assurance associate development
  • Ability to delegate technical authority to Team Leads
  • Responsible for providing project estimates
  • Provide technical leadership to test automation projects
  • Interfaces with Product Design and Development management levels
  • Participates in all Software Quality Assurance test and final production readiness reviews
  • Works and coordinates with all Software Quality Assurance Managers and Team Leads on testing schedules and accomplishing all testing scheduled milestones
  • Ability to represent the Director of Software Quality Assurance on technically-centric activities
  • Communicate with cross functional project teams as part of a shared responsibility for total product quality
