Position Summary:
The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for development of software to support Verifications' Software Applications. This person must be skilled with object oriented design, coding, performance tuning, and unit testing in a Cold-Fusion, PowerBuilder and Microsoft.NET environment. This person must have in-depth technical skills and the ability to provide hands-on technical guidance for small project teams.
This role requires little or no travel.

| 1. Develops, modifies, and implements software applications to support Software as a Service (SaaS), hosted, and client/server applications according to business requirements. | 40 |
| 2. Participates in the requirements process through design and specification reviews. | 15 |
| 3. Capable of documenting design according to companies process guidelines. Familiar with a variety of Service-Oriented-Architecture concepts, practices, and procedures. | 15 |
| 4. Planning and performing proper unit testing of software code (including automated unit testing). Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. | 10 |
| 5. Lead project teams by providing hands-on technical leadership and guidance for project teams | 10 |
| 6. Coordinate with IT management and business stakeholders on project schedules, resources and scope. | 10 |
Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area, or equivalent experience.
- Cold-Fusion 6, 7, 8, XML, Power Builder, XSLT, Java
- Microsoft C# .NET experience (Web Services, Web Pages, Business Rules Classes, Data Access classes, Window Services)
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server.
- High degree of competence is required with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Project.
- 2+ years of SQL Server experience.
- Networking and Windows Server administration (programming WMI, IIS, vbscript, batch files) skills a plus.
- Software installation and/or automated build skills a plus.
- Intelligence Concepts.
- Microsoft Certified.
